I think it needs to be moved to an area that people can ride to or ride out of
I would rather go for the weekend and get some riding in, visit the fair, maybe race alittle
going to st cloud, walk around only made me want to leave and go riding

I agree. I think people would like it if they could ride the trails to and from the fair if they wish. It would probably even improve attendance, it certainly will not hurt it any.
Just make sure to pick an area that is kind of in the middle of the state but still has the opportunity with a decent amount of trails and campgrounds available. Maybe the Pequot Lakes area would work out good with close proximity to the Spider Lake trails.
Just my two cents worth.

I think Isle area with the soo line and redtop to ride on. try to get a special permit to ride redtop early with paid admission to the fair. maybe do some redtop tours, and isn't there a new trail system near redtop just off the soo line. and how about a CC race through redtop's tight trails

in Isle there is a baseball-football field right off the soo line trail and some parking accross the street for the larger factory rigs. I don't know who you would need to talk to to use them, but we could ride in and ride out, I'm sure the town wouldn't mine a little business in early may.

I think the fair should be moved to some place where people can ride and pick weekend in June. If
I'm going to drive 2-3 hours I want to ride not just look at new ATVs. Isle is centrally locationed and Red Top is a good trail.

 ATV Fair
Having Isle host it is not a bad idea, the rail grade heading to the red top is generally dry, the small towns along the trail way would get a little buisness as well. I agree being able to ride at will and go to the fair at will is key. I was just hoping in some way the Brainerd lakes-Crosby-Pine River area could somehow be the site. The area is beautiful, centrally located and would be a nice getaway for the weekend. I think that if it is moved from the St.Cloud area ( which sounds like a sure thing ) it will take a year or two to recover regardless if the fair is held next year or not. The move to having a regular mud run as additional entertainment in place of the previous event was a great decision. To get the fair to be more successful, it will have to be promoted much more heavy than just in the MN offroad, it will need some blurbs in the major newspapers as well. Maybe we could get it mentioned as a feature article and save some money in advertising. Just my two cents though....
